EchoShock (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates https://echoshock.net (the “Service”).

1. Definitions

• Service: https://echoshock.net and all related websites, applications, and functionality.
• Content: Any text, images, graphics, code, data, feedback, or other materials you or we provide through the Service.
• User: Any person who accesses or uses the Service.

By creating an account or using the Service in any manner, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

3. Description of Service

EchoShock is an indie game curation platform (“The Glade”) where users can browse featured titles, read developer descriptions, and create an account to engage with the platform.

4. User Accounts

• Registration: You must provide a valid email address, choose a username, and create a password. Keep your credentials confidential.
• Username Requirements:
  • Must be 3–30 characters and may include letters (A–Z), numbers (0–9), dots (.), hyphens (–), or underscores (_).
  • Must not contain profanity, hate speech, slurs, calls to violence, or any other offensive or unlawful content.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or delete any username that violates these rules.
• Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old (or older if required by your local jurisdiction). Parental consent is required for minors.
• Account Security: Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.

5. User Conduct

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Interfere with the Service’s operation or security.

5.2 Content Posting (Future Feature)

Currently, user-generated content submission is not supported. If added later, the following rules will apply:

• Upload viruses, malware, or otherwise harmful code.

6. Intellectual Property

• Our Rights: All elements of the Service (designs, text, graphics, code, trademarks) are owned by EchoShock and protected by law.
• Your Rights: You retain ownership of any feedback or content you submit. By submitting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display that content.

Any suggestions or feedback you provide become our exclusive property, and we may use them without restriction.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may include links to third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

9. Support & Updates

We have no obligation to provide technical support, maintenance, or updates, but may do so at our discretion.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EchoShock is operated, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts of that same jurisdiction.

15. Severability & Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms with a new Effective Date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
